Environmental simulation

Our weathering chambers offer the possibility to simulate different weather conditions under controlled conditions. This allows us to define the long-term behavior of products, coatings and adhesives. This is a clear advantage for products that want to reach market maturity, but also for existing products whose functionality, durability and usability are constantly being improved.

We offer

  • Testing the long-term behavior of products, plastics, coatings and adhesives
  • Artificial weathering using xenon lamps, UV lamps and metal halide lamps (solar simulation)
  • Outdoor weathering tests
  • Correlations of artificial weathering and outdoor weathering
  • Color fastness tests (EN ISO 105-B02)
  • Corrosion tests such as neutral salt spray test (EN ISO 9227) and condensation water test (EN ISO 6270-1, EN ISO 6270-2) as well as cyclic loads (VDA alternating test, EN ISO 60068-2-52)
  • Climate change tests on materials, products and components in the range -70°C to +150°C on component dimensions up to (4000x2400x2100) mm
  • Evaluations of property changes by color measurement, gloss measurement, tensile tests, bending tests, active thermography, ultrasonic microscopy, infrared spectroscopy…
  • Verification of conformity with product specifications and standards
  • Readjustment of occurred damages by readjustment tests
  • Damage clarification incl. Expert opinion
  • Consultation regarding material selection
  • Testing the resistance of materials and products to chemical stresses and pollutant loads
  • Testing according to automotive industry regulations
  • Testing of photovoltaic modules, steam-heat test and EN ISO 60068-2-52
  • Testing of color fastness EN ISO 105-X12
  • Determination of temperature-time limits under prolonged exposure to heat, EN ISO 2578
  • Kesternichtest EN ISO 6988
