Many common products such as components, coatings or plastics deteriorate either physically or visibly over time: They age. Forecasts for aging processes are therefore an absolute necessity for calculations of upkeep costs and product lifespan estimates.

Climate and weathering simulations are common methods to accelerate aging processes to short time spans. Once ofi has conducted such simulations, the resulting knowledge can be used during product development which will help minimize future costs.
